I am being cheated!

Last Wednesday, I received a message.

Pearlyn: Hi, I am Pearlyn from Lrp. Are you free this Saturday? Can you help out at NUH?
Jueying: Okay. Tell me more details. Thanks.
Pearlyn: Be at NUH main building at 9am. Will call you tommorrow for more details.
Jueying: Okay.

Friday. Phone rang.

Jueying: Hello.
Pearlyn: Hi, I am pearlyn here. Tommorrow you will be at NUH. Please be there at 9am at the main building. It is their pharmacy stock taking. Look for Felicia.
Jueying: Okay. How to go to the pharmacy?
Pearlyn: Walk to the 7-11 and walk towards left and walk straight.
Jueying: So, it is from 9am til what time?
Pearlyn: Stock taking should be done around an hour plus, after that you can go off.
Jueying: Huh? Hmmm. Okay. Bye.

They want me to go there just for an hour plus to take stock and go home? And being paid for one hour plus. I will be just earning nothing after deducting my transportation fee and food. Anyway, I still agreed to go as I have promised to go the other day.

Saturday. 9am.

Jueying: Sorry, where is Felicia?
Felicia: I am. So, you are from LRP?
Jueying: Ya.
Felicia: You just have to count the stocks and paste the sticker with the amount of stock beside the bar code.
Jueying: Okay.
Felicia: After that you can go off.

So, without any delay, I started counting the stocks. I counted once, counted twice, thrice. Even arrange the stocks and leaflets. But, after doing all this, it is only 930 am! I got nothing else more for me to do. There is so little stocks over there. Decided to go off.

I message Pearlyn.

Jueying: Hi, I have done everything in half an hour. So, am I being paid for half an hour? Haha.
Pearlyn: Nope. Will pay you for two hours. Send me your account number.
Jueying: ***-****-*
Pearlyn: Okay.
Jueying: Thanks.

I would say I am just wasting my time for that trip over at NUH. I should be more clever in future.

Went to Ngee ann on friday. Finally, bought my lappy.
